Alpha starts 4th October

Autumn Alpha 2023

Curious about faith? Try Alpha! This free course offers a chance to ask questions and explore the Christian faith in a fun, no-pressure environment. Each session includes a talk and a discussion where you can chat through your thoughts and questions with a small group of people just like you.

The course is totally free, it will be running on Wednesday nights from the 4th October for 10 weeks. To find out more, including how to register, click the button below.

Prayer Ministry Training in October

Prayer Ministry is an opportunity to encounter the power, truth and love of God as someone prays with you, discerning and passing on what they sense God has for you. We want to equip you for prayer ministry and prayer for others.

Further Prayer Ministry Training

Tuesday evening on the 31st October 2023 from 7.45pm - 9.30pm
This is open to those with some experience who want to refresh and develop the skills needed in more extended ministry times. It covers how to:

  • Minister with confidence

  • Share prophetic words

  • Bring release and freedom from ongoing negative influences

  • How to minister in the Wholeness Course context and lead a ministry session

Illuminate Workplace Course starts 25th April

Illuminate

How do we impact our workplaces by the way in which we live? How we bring kingdom principles that influences the culture of the organisations we work in? In this four-session course we will explore the impact that we have as kingdom ambassadors in our workplaces.

This course will be running from the 25th of April to the 16th of May, taking place on Tuesday nights, 7.30pm - 9.30pm here at Woodlands Central. To sign up click the button below.

Special Offering for Turkey and Syria | Sunday 12th Feb

Special Offering, this Sunday

Many thousands of men, women and children have died following the deadliest recorded earthquake to hit Turkey in decades. On Sunday the 12th of February we will be taking up a special offering at all of our Sunday Services. All financial gifts will be used by Christian Aid who are working on disaster relief in both Turkey and Northern Syria.

Explore how our lives can be established on the sure foundation of our God given identity. This is a course with stories of breakthrough, teaching, including our ‘Spiritual spring clean’ and opportunities for receiving prayer.

We love to welcome church family and guests along to our Christmas services happening throughout December. We need helpers to ensure these services run smoothly, so if you could set out chairs, welcome people, chat to newcomers or serve hot drinks, we'd really appreciate your help. 11am Congregation Weekend Away | 18th - 20th November

We are excited about our weekend away with the 11am congregation to Hebron Hall. Our vision for the weekend is to build connection and community with each other and Jesus. Whether you are new or have been around for ages, come and join in. There will be teaching and worship as well as free time, optional activities and lots of fun for all ages. We hope to see you there.

Financial difficulty? If you would like to come but would struggle with the costs, please do contact one of the 11am team (Rachel, Tim, Hazel or Melissa) as we are aware of the rise in costs of living at the moment and would love everyone to feel able to come despite finances.

Finally, day tickets will be available but won't be available to book in until the end of October.

Prayer Week

Our autumn term prayer week is coming up from Sunday the 11th of September to Sunday the 18th. Each term here at Woodies we host a prayer week as an opportunity to come before God together and offer him that which is on our hearts. In past events it has been a lovely time of fellowship, as we are able to look forward and prepare ourselves spiritually for the coming season. The week consists of hosted events and prayer space that can be booked by individuals or groups. To book a slot in the prayer room click here.

Camping Weekend for 11am

The 11am congregation is excited to go camping together this spring! We’re heading to Far Peak Campsite in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, near Northleach, Gloucestershire from Friday, 13th May to Sunday, 15th May and would love you to join us!

It will be an opportunity to build a sense of family and community together as a congregation. It is an hour away from Bristol and we will have plenty of time to chill out, go on a walk in the beautiful area, play games and have a shared BBQ on the Saturday night amongst other activities!
