Samuel is a prophet with huge influence. He represents a huge hinge moment in the history of God’s people. He like other prophets (Moses, Jeremiah, John the Baptist) is ushering in a new era, in this case the age of the Kings. When Samuel is called, he is a young boy and mistakes the voice of God for the voice of Eli, the aged priest who is his guardian v 4. Download Discussion notes

women in ministry
tim dobson
June 4th 2019 “We have some amazing women leaders and preachers in our church, but how do we take the Bible seriously and understand what it says about the role of women within church and in particular interpret some of Paul’s writing in 1 Corinthians and 1 Timothy where he seems to put restrictions on women.
Tim Dobson spoke at the first of our Summer Strength Bible School evenings looking at the topic of “Women in ministry”. We looked at the way Jesus treated and related to women and considered two principles of biblical interpretation that helped us be inspired to see how women should be released to serve God wholeheartedly.”
We’re now recruiting for our Chairs Team, to help in the mornings and in the evenings. If you could spare 30mins on a Sunday to be part of the team we would love your help. All training given. To get on a team please contact luke.wareham@woodlandschurch.net
