Creed: Suffering - Hannah Mitchell and Dave Mitchell

28th October 2018, Creed: Suffered – Hannah Mitchell (Hebrews 2:9)

In our series on the great Christian Creeds we are examining some of the phrases that have summed up orthodox Christian belief for Centuries. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the early Fathers of the Church, meditating on Scripture and in debate with one another distilled some foundational truths that are not just theoretical but deeply enable Christian life and practice. This week we are thinking about what it means for Jesus Christ to have ‘suffered under Pontius Pilate’. This phrase comes from the shorter ‘Apostle’s Creed’ which you might want to read in full at this point. Download Discussion notes
