We held the first of our two Grand Finale events for Love Running on May 16th. An amazing night with a huge buzz. Loudest cheers came when we presented cheques to two of our three causes - World Vision and Stop the Traffik. Listen to the cheque presentation and interviews here. Listen to the full 'Run Your own Race' message here. Click on any thumbnail to view pictures from the night.
The third of our Love Running Causes focuses on those in Need in our own City. This is a profile of the three Bristol charities that we are supporting - Crisis Centre Ministries, The Noise and St Peter's Hospice.
The work of World Vision in Zimbabwe is another of the three Love Running Causes. We met up with Qobo Mayisa to find out what life is like in Zimbabwe right now, and how Love Running is already making a profound difference to an entire community.
Stop the Traffik is one of the three Love Running Causes. Ruth Dearnley, CEO of Stop the Traffik, came to speak about the work she does and the ground breaking initiative that Love Running will be helping to launch - Freedom Ticket for Life.
We've remixed last year's Love Running video to give all you new Love Runners an idea of what to expect. Ed, the guy speaking at the beginning of the film, was an innocent bystander last year, just running his race. But witnessing Love Running had a profound impact on his life.
This year he was officially the very first person to sign up. |
