After serving as a children’s worker at Woodlands, Cath is going to use her skills to help open and develop a kindergarten for 4 and 5 Year olds in Bucharest, Romania for a year, beginning August 2011.
Many people will remember the neglect many children there suffered under the communist regime. Even now, as part of the EU, Romania is a relatively poor country with little provision for early years learning for Romanian families.
Cath will be looking after the practical needs of these children and teaching English. This venture is a whole new phase for the mission of Bucharest Christian Academy School, which up until now has mainly had an international focus.
