The Alpha Course

Over 18 million people worldwide have now attended an Alpha course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, running in tens of thousands of churches all across the world, including here at Woodlands.

The course is designed for people who are interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. There is a meal followed by a short talk, then a chance to ask questions and discuss in a small group context.

Alpha is ideal for anyone asking questions about faith and interested in exploring ideas. It's also good for new Christians, newcomers to church and those wanting to brush up on the basics. It's totally free and you're not tied into anything.

Life is worth exploring

Recent alpha attendees discuss their experience of the course and the difference it's made to their lives.

What the papers say

"What Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission, rare in secular culture, to discuss the big questions - life and death and their meaning." The Guardian

"What distinguishes Alpha from other initiatives is the easy-going, relaxed feel of the proceedings - that, and its astonishing success." The Times
